Molly Beanland

Bio

Molly was born in London in 1985 and raised in rural Suffolk where she remained until going to Cambridge University to study English. However, the pull of songwriting was too much to resist so when Island Records offered her a record deal she left to pursue her passion! In summer 2007 she parted ways with Island records due to artistic differences (that old chesnut). But left with her many songs to do with what she chose. Finally being able to have freedom to use the songs that reflect her artistically was a relief! Anything poptastic banished to the wayside! Her debut record, produced by Jason Cupp/Mike Hedges in LA and London is now taking her to new places. She's in talks for a new deal that will allow her to be her creative self. And definitely wiser.

I first listened to you when you only had the three solo pieces up. The added instruments are alright, they fill up some of the empty spaces.. but you really don't need them, your voice and piano were remarkably sufficent.
